In a game dominated by fastballs reaching 96 mph team Sacramento defeated team East Bay 8-4 in 10 innings. The Championship Game was highlighted by team East Bay pitching.  Robert Stephenson (Alhambra) threw three innings of 1 hit ball consistently hitting 95mph on the radar gun and touching 96. He was followed by Joe Ross (Bishop O’Dowd) who threw three dominating innings consistently hitting 94mph. Not be be out done team Sacramento was was lead by JD Davis (Elk Grove) who threw three great innings consistently hitting 91mph and Kyle Castro (Pleasant Grove) who was consistently hitting 91mph.

JUNE 4-7 KLEIN FAMILY FIELD

Players and Parents,

Once again I would like to welcome you to the 2010 RAWLINGS NORCAL WORLD SEREIS. This year’s event should be the best to date. The talent that has been assembled should prove to draw the attention of college and pro scouts from around the country along with providing each player the chance to compete against the best players Northern California has to offer.

As we get closer to the event there are a few pieces of information that each player needs to know.

1. 1.      Uniforms: Each player will be given jersey top and hat to wear during the game. Players are responsible for pants, belts and socks, we recommend white pants but if you do not have any, grey pants would be just fine.
2. 2.      Jersey top colors are as followed: East Bay Maroon, Fresno-Royal, North Bay-Green, Sacramento-White, South Bay-Black, and Valley-Cardinal. You can try to match the socks and belts if you would like but not required.
3. 3.      Schedule and Rosters are posted on website at www.rnws.org. It is very important that you check the website often as we get closer to the event for any changes, especially roster changes. We do our best to keep rosters unchanged but reserve the right to move players around if we need to.
4. 4.      Check In Time: All players should arrive 1hr and 15 minutes prior to their first games BP and Infield/Outfield in order to check in, receive their uniform, and meet the coaches and other players. There will be a check in table at the front gate of Klein Family Field where you will be given directions on where to go. For games 2 and 3 players should arrive 1 hr prior to start time.
5. 5.      There will be a $10 tournament pass available for purchase or a day pass for $5 for spectators.
6. 6.      Due to Klein Family Field Rules only players will be allowed to bring coolers. There will be a snake bar available during the whole event.

Rules, format, etc…

9 inning games, play bottom 9^th no matter the score to get players equal time.

9 batters max per inning. 9 spots in batting order & 9 spot is designated pitcher spot.

Pitchers face 9 hitters minimum in event, position players play 4 innings of each game.
